Post-Care Instructions
Please be sure to call and schedule your post operative exam 3 to 5 weeks after surgery.


 It is normal to experience some spotting or light bleeding up to 6 weeks following the procedure. You may also experience lower abdominal cramping which should be relieved with the medication provided.

PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE IF:

• If your bleeding is more than your normal menstral cycle. (saturating more
than one pad an hour or clots larger than a silver dollar).

• Slight elevations of temperatures are normal. If fever is greater than
100.6F when taken 6 hours apart, please call the office

• Allergic reaction to medication we prescribed

Medical personal are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Until your post-abortion check up do NOT insert anything into your vagina. This includes sexual relations, Tampons, and douching. Also, it is recommended that you shower instead of bathing in a tub.
